Role Overview :As a Home Health Wound Care Specialist
, you will assess, treat, and manage various types of wounds to promote healing and prevent infection. Your expertise ensures seniors remain comfortable, safe, and supported while receiving in-home care.
- Evaluate wounds, document their condition, and implement appropriate treatments.
- Perform dressing changes, apply bandages, and recommend preventative measures.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about wound care best practices.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Nurse with specialized wound care certification preferred.
- Experience with wound care in a home health or clinical setting.
- Attention to detail, infection control knowledge, and strong assessment skills.
