Overview

Registered Nurse/Clinical II, Recovery Room. $8K sign-on bonus. Full-time position with 72-80 hours per pay period at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in the San Fernando Valley. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic RN to fill the role of Registered Nurse/Clinical II, Recovery Room, working alongside our dedicated team.

Salary Range: $52.08 to $69.24 per hour

• Provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and families in a supportive environment.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, physicians, and the healthcare team using SBAR format.
• Adhere to HIPAA and hospital policies to ensure confidentiality.
• Cross-train to various areas within the hospital according to policy.
• Utilize information technology to document care processes efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians and mentors to evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.
• Follow Universal Precautions and hospital infection control standards.
• Administer medications per hospital policy and report any errors promptly.
• Collect and interpret patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and assess patient conditions.
• Advocate for patient and family values, beliefs, and standards.
• Provide discharge education and plan effective discharges from admission.
• Support hospital throughput initiatives for timely patient transfers and discharges.
• Participate in unit or hospital quality initiatives and projects.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one (1) year of recent nursing experience in the department hiring the RN.
• Education:
  
  ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current California RN license; BLS certification; LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications for special procedures: ACLS, PALS per job requirements.
