What will you be doing in this role? The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments and medically related tasks.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Sets up exam room/procedure rooms based on patient visit needs
• Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination
• Prepares patients for examination by reviewing medications and documents in medical record
• Prepares medical chart and records patient information
• Provides basic patient care and treatments such as taking vitals and performing diagnostic tests
• Observes patient, documents, and reports changes in condition to the provider
• Answers patient and physician incoming messages with provider input
• Serves as a patient advocate and utilizes resources to support patient care

Qualifications

Education:

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program

License/

Certifications:

• Valid CA LVN license required
• BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required
• IV/BW certification

Experience:

• 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferred
