Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Transitional Care Unit
Full time. Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
OverviewProvides direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Performs treatments, procedures, and clerical duties within the legal scope of practice. Accepts responsibility for nursing actions and decisions.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and nursing interventions.
- Administer treatments and procedures as authorized.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary team.
- Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Team member abilities.
- Clinical education related to specialty.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Principles of patient/family teaching.
- Ability to listen and follow directions.
- Current California LVN license.
- Intravenous and Blood Withdrawal Certification.
- BLS from the American Heart Association.
- LA City Fire card within 6 months of employment.
