We’re looking for a LVN Runner/On-call. Hospice experience is required for this position.
Monday through Friday hours are 5pm to 8am with a $50 waiting-to-engage rate; must be open to at least 2 days per week.
Saturday and Sunday hours are 8am to 8am (24 hours) with a $100 waiting-to-engage rate; must be open to at least 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday per month.
In addition to the waiting-to-engage rate for each visit you take you will be paid $67.50 for the visit plus $11 for mileage.

As a Hospice LVN you will deliver holistic, end-of-life care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and you will effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.
- Field nurse required to make visits to patients during om-call shift within the service area.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of hospice care nursing services.
- Communicate with RN Case Manager and physician, as appropriate, on a regular basis regarding changes in the patient's condition and/or needs.
- Assist the RN in carrying out the plan of care.
- Perform procedures at a level of care standard within the medical community, scope of practice consistent with the Vocational Nursing Practice Act and follows Agency's current policies and procedures.
- Document clinical and progress notes that show provision of and outcomes of interventions.
- Provide service within the Agency's catchment area.

- Graduate of accredited nursing program.
- Current, active, license as an RN or LVN by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
- Current CPR, health clearance and clinical skills self-assessment.
- Successful passage (80%) of Agency competency exam and core competency skills checklist.
- Minimum of one year experience as an RN or LVN.
- Knowledge of Hospice care and services.
