Responsibilities
  • The House Supervisor assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on their shift.
  • Make frequent rounds throughout the facility to monitor delivery of care, oversee quality of services, and direct patient care activities as needed.
  • Supervise, provide support to and communicate with all staff house‑wide.
  • Extend administrative scope and responsibility to all services within the hospital in the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff.
  • Ensure efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
  • Perform direct patient care as needed within skill set.
  • Ensure all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy.
  • Assist medical staff with scheduling after‑horizon procedures and calling in stand‑by staff members.
  • Enhance patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years acute‑care nursing experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
