  • Senior PA: $86.52 - $116.41 per hour (based on experience)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant (PA) will serve as a member of the medical care management team and provide independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for Vascular Surgery patients across the continuum of inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include performing history and physical examinations, triaging patients, evaluating vital signs, symptoms, and findings; assisting in the operating room, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, setting up equipment and imaging modalities before and during surgical procedures;

communicating with patients, families, and referring physicians; serving as a clinical care extender of attending Vascular Surgeons; coordinating care, providing patient/family education, promoting safe continuity of care; participating in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds; providing education and support to the patient care team; making appropriate referrals. Vascular Surgery experience required; procedural experience preferred.

One APP role, to be filled as either a PA or NP.

  • Degree from PA Program – required
  • CA PA License – required
  • National PA Board Certification – required
  • BLS from AHA or ARC – required
  • PA experience – required
  • Vascular experience – required
  • Procedure experience – strongly preferred
  • Self‑direction and organizational skills for independent role – required
  • Skill in physical assessment and care of surgical patients – required
  • Skill in teaching – required
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to perform patient history and physical assessment – required
  • Skill and ability in written and verbal communication – required
  • Knowledge of interdisciplinary resources needed to coordinate patient care and facilitate referral – required
  • Knowledge and skill in wound care and treatment – required
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing – required
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and follow physician orders, policies, procedures, and written/verbal instructions – required
