Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Cath Lab/EP, Full Time, Days
This position is responsible and accountable for providing nursing care in the Cardiology Department, including Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiac Cath Lab departments.
PIH Health is a nonprofit regional healthcare network serving the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley area.
Required Skills- Interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Knowledge of Cath lab & EP lab procedures.
- Knowledge and experience with administering IV and PO drugs and their possible adverse reactions.
- Competent with patient evaluation, physical assessment, and interviewing techniques.
- Knowledge of the legal aspects of nursing.
- Successfully passing safety, cultural sensitivity, and blood pathogen classes.
- Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation medications and their reversal agents.
- Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, temporary pacemakers, O2 equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc.
- Graduated from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in ICU or ER.
- Demonstrates teaching ability in a formal and/or informal setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Two-year experience in Cath/EP Lab.
