Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Lead Charge Nurse (AN1) is responsible for assisting with the clinical management and administrative coordination of the ICU. The position involves clinical and administrative responsibilities, including:
- Coordinating multi-facility elective or urgent admissions and transfers within the UCLA Health System, under supervision of the UD, CNM, and Director of Patient Placement.
- Communicating effectively with referring and accepting Physicians, Executive Management, Patient and Guest Services, and hospital support systems.
- Developing expertise in the UCLA Care Connect EPIC EHR bed management system.
- Collaborating with management and Nursing leadership to improve bed management and patient experience.
- Assisting in staffing needs based on scheduled and anticipated service demands.
Salary Range: $70.41 - $102.30 hourly
Job QualificationsWe’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
- BSN or MSN required
- 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- CCRN certification preferred
- Proficiency in implementing nursing interventions consistently
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans involving patients, families, and staff
- Experience leading unit projects is preferred
