Job Overview

This position is responsible and accountable for providing nursing care in the EP lab and Cardiac Cath Lab departments.

• Interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tests and their preparations.
• Experience administering IV and PO drugs and managing possible adverse reactions.
• Competent in patient evaluation, physical assessment, and interviewing techniques.
• Knowledge of legal aspects of nursing.
• Successful completion of safety, cultural sensitivity, and blood pathogen classes.
• Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation medications and their reversal agents.
• Proficiency with special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, temporary pacemakers, O′ equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, and defibrillators.

• Graduated from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Evidence of continuing education and self‑development.
• Minimum of one year experience in an Electrophysiology Lab.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in a formal and/or informal setting.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Two‑year experience in Cath/EP Lab.
