Registered Nurse​/Clinical II, ICU Unit

Overview

Registered Nurse/Clinical II, ICU Unit – Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Base pay range: $52.08/hr – $69.24/hr full Time (72-80 hours per pay period). $8K sign-on bonus available.

• Provide comprehensive patient care and education to patients and families in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, physicians, and healthcare team members using the SBAR format.
• Adhere to HIPAA and hospital policies, maintaining confidentiality.
• Cross-train to various areas within the hospital per policy.
• Document care processes efficiently using appropriate information technology.
• Collaborate with physicians and mentors to evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs.
• Follow Universal Precautions and hospital infection control standards.
• Administer medications per hospital policy and report any errors promptly.
• Collect and interpret patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and assess patient conditions.
• Advocate for patient and family values, beliefs, and standards.
• Provide discharge education and plan effective discharges from admission.
• Support patient throughput initiatives and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain a professional image in appearance, conduct, and communication.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one (1) year of recent nursing experience for the department hiring the RN.
• Education:
  
  ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current California RN licensure, AHA BLS certification, LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire.
• ICU Requirements: ACLS, NIHSS certification within 30 days of employment;
  Annual Critical Care Stroke Education within 30 days of employment.
