This position will primarily work with acutely ill Medical-Surgical, Telemetry-monitored, Orthopedic, and Neurological patient populations. The Clinical Unit Supervisor demonstrates a high level of commitment to patient care, supervises nursing and non-licensed personnel, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include making patient care assignments, participating in quality improvement, and ensuring staff adherence to policies.

• Supervise and perform patient assessments, monitor diagnostic data, administer medications, and coordinate care according to policies and physician orders.
• Ensure safe use of equipment, recognize patient problems, and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with team members.

• Identify patient needs, involve family, and revise care plans based on patient response.

• Assess learning needs, formulate teaching plans, and evaluate effectiveness.

• Demonstrate ethical decision-making, professionalism, and proactive service recovery.

• Communicate rationale for interventions, facilitate resource utilization, and promote team collaboration.

• Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to policies, and participate in quality improvement activities.

• Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience on an assigned unit.
• Current RN license issued by the California State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Arrhythmia, ACLS, BLS certifications, and FIRE Card required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and basic computer skills.
