Clinical Nurse Specialist, Healthcare Nursing
The Perioperative Coordinator is responsible for designing and establishing the infrastructure and operational framework of the pre-operative readiness clinic to optimize patient outcomes and enhance surgical safety. Collaborates with outpatient surgery clinics, multidisciplinary teams, and organizational leadership to build relationships, develop standardized workflows, and implement evidence-based protocols aligned with clinical practice guidelines and community standards. Drives the strategic development of the clinic by investigating best practices, recommending resource allocation, and creating a robust system for perioperative care coordination.
Oversees data collection and outcome tracking to refine processes and ensure continuous improvement, serving as a key leader in fostering a high‑quality, efficient perioperative program. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with all outpatient surgery clinics to ensure seamless coordination of perioperative services, fostering open communication and alignment of goals to optimize patient care.

Required:
- Active CA Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
- Minimum 3 years of experience interacting with patients in healthcare setting
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree, in nursing
