ANNUAL SALARY $82,162 to $120,122; $92,373 to $135,051; $98,031 to $143,341
Full-Time
A 2.75% bonus may be paid upon proof of professional nursing certification by a professional organization that is relevant and applicable to the duties performed. Some positions require night shifts, for which up to an 8.25% bonus is paid.

- Candidates from the eligible list are normally appointed to vacancies in the lower pay grade positions. However, candidates with one year of emergency care nursing experience may be considered for appointment to a higher pay grade.
- Annual salary is at the start of the pay range. The current salary range is subject to change. Please confirm the starting salary with the hiring department before accepting a job offer.

A Correctional Nurse performs professional nursing services to arrestees/prisoners in City jails. Duties performed include the following: utilizing protocols in the provision of care; assisting the medical staff with patient evaluations and treatment; performing phlebotomy for forensic purposes; under self-guidance, obtaining patient histories and performing patient assessments; performing focused physical examinations; performing diagnostic testing such as EKGs and urinalysis; providing emergency care and performing CPR;
conducting sick call rounds; assisting with procedures; creating and maintaining medical records; collecting and documenting work statistics; testifying in court proceedings; may act as head nurse on a single-person shift; and does related work.
