Our world‑class Labor and Delivery unit provides exemplary maternal‑fetal care to over 6,700 births per year. In our dynamic Perinatal Program, we deliver high‑risk and low‑risk patient and family‑centered care with a focus on quality and compassion.
Responsibilities- Responsible and accountable for the nursing process and patient care delivery.
- Make clinical judgments and carry out related nursing interventions without supervision.
- Apply clinical knowledge regarding standard care patterns to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings.
- Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment, delegation of tasks, and documentation.
- Maintain care for patients and the delivery team.
- Provide dedication to customer service.
- Meet the needs and expectations of patients and healthcare colleagues.
- Educational Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or higher preferred.
- License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
- Current California State RN License required.
- ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and NRP Certification.
- For RN III:
Specialty Certification (external applicants may obtain within one year of hire).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years recent acute RN experience in Labor and Delivery required. (Minimum 1 year recent acute RN experience in Labor and Delivery considered for RN II.)
