Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well‑being of both mother and baby while supporting breastfeeding, newborn care, and patient education.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive mother and infant assessments, postpartum care, and support breastfeeding, skin‑to‑skin bonding, and newborn care.
Maintain expertise in perinatal and evidence‑based practices, ensuring adherence to all hospital policies and procedures.
Actively participate in emergency maternal and neonatal care, responding effectively to critical situations.
Utilize SBAR communication for bedside handoff reports and emergency situations.
Formulate individualized nursing care plans, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and disease prevention.
Administer medications and therapeutic treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring mothers and families are well‑informed and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
Supervise and delegate tasks to subordinates within their scope of practice, ensuring high‑quality patient care.
Maintain thorough documentation of patient care, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and education.
Adhere to Baby‑Friendly Hospital Initiative standards, promoting optimal maternal and neonatal care practices.
Assist in patient discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and proper education on postpartum recovery.
Other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in Perinatal or Critical Care settings.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA‑certified).
Preferred QualificationsCertification in a related nursing specialty.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Proficiency in basic computer skills.
