The Public Interest Network is hiring for the Planned Giving Program. Through this program, we offer members of our environmental and public interest organizations the opportunity to make larger gifts and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
Key Responsibilities- Executing and expanding our member marketing and cultivation work to inspire supporters to make a planned gift to one of our organizations;
- Organizing online and in-person events around the country to deepen the commitment of our long-term members; and
- Coordinating stewardship efforts for members who have already committed to making a planned gift to one of our organizations.
- Maintaining our tracking, record-keeping and reporting systems for planned gifts, pledges, and inquiries.
The Planned Giving Associate position requires a two-year commitment, excellent judgment and discretion and the ability to oversee significant projects.
Qualifications- Have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Bonus if that experience is in development, marketing or public interest advocacy;
- Be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, highly organized, and have the ability to manage projects with many moving parts;
- Have excellent people skills and the ability to exhibit professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion in all communications regarding estate planning;
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Thrive working independently, but also be able to take direction and work as part of a team; and
- Be passionate about making a difference on the issues we work on. Fundraising can be challenging, so you should be motivated by our shared belief in a clear vision, fact-based action, and bringing people together to solve problems.
The starting target annual compensation range for someone with 2-6 years of relevant professional experience is $39,750-$47,000. Candidates on the lower end of directly relevant experience should expect to be on the lower end of this range; candidates on the higher end of relevant experience are likely to be on the higher end of this range. This position can be based in Denver, Colorado or Los Angeles, California.
