iUrban Teen is a community-rooted, nationally recognized organization dedicated to empowering underrepresented youth and young adults through immersive STEM, AI, arts, and skilled trades learning experiences. Since 2011, we’ve inspired thousands of teens by connecting them with mentors, college pathways, and industry careers—all while uplifting their creativity, brilliance, and future potential. With programs across several U.S. regions, we’re building a more inclusive and innovative future for the next generation.
We are seeking new council members for our Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and Dallas chapters. These are volunteer roles.
Innovation & Growth Leadership Council – Volunteer OpportunityiUrban Teen is seeking visionary leaders, innovators, and community builders to join our Innovation & Growth Leadership Council. This volunteer council plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction, sustainability, and long‑term growth of our National STEM, AI, skilled‑trades, and workforce‑development programs serving underrepresented youth and young adults.
About the Volunteer RoleMembers of the Innovation & Growth Leadership Council serve as thought partners and strategic advisors to iUrban Teen’s executive leadership. Volunteers contribute expertise in innovation, technology, education, workforce development, fundraising, partnerships, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic insights to guide organizational innovation, program growth, and new initiatives
- Advise on emerging trends in AI, STEM, skilled trades, workforce pathways, and community impact
- Support fundraising strategies, partnership development, and visibility opportunities
- Serve as ambassadors for iUrban Teen within professional and community networks
- Participate in quarterly virtual meetings and occasional special‑topic work groups
- Professionals with experience in technology, AI, skilled trades, education, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, or community development
- Strategic thinkers committed to bridging digital, educational, and economic opportunity gaps
- Leaders passionate about equity and innovation
- Ability to commit to a two‑year volunteer term (renewable)
- A meaningful leadership role driving real social impact
- Opportunities to shape forward‑looking innovation and youth‑centered programming
- Networking with a national community of industry leaders and changemakers
- Recognition on iUrban Teen platforms and materials
