Overview
Summary: Whats App is looking for an experienced and accomplished Brand Marketing Lead to drive the Consumer Brand across key markets. The Brand Marketing Lead will manage a team of industry leading brand marketers within Whats App’s Brand Marketing team and will play a significant role in shaping the future of the Whats App marketing campaigns and developing best in class efforts that drive consumer awareness, consideration, and engagement aligned to the business, product and brand goals.
This leader will connect the dots between the business, product strategy and brand strategy, and extract true insights that translate into briefs that spark world class creativity. They will build influence and drive alignment across matrixed stakeholders, be a highly effective operator, and inspire and support a growing team with care, thoughtfulness and mentorship.
Lead the strategy and execution of Whats App’s iconic brand and global marketing programs to drive the brand forward and foster long term growth
Architect Whats App’s marketing strategy and roadmap through research, testing and insights, and building effective go-to-market strategies to bring innovative advertising experiences to market
Define and manage comprehensive outbound marketing strategy and planning including segmentation, targeting, market sizing, media and communications plan, roll-out strategy, and integration with PR, Editorial, Growth, Partnerships and Performance Marketing
Manage a high performance team of marketers, providing the guidance and structure necessary to deliver marketing programs and innovation in how the Whats App brand evolves
Lead and collaborate with a multitude of cross-functional stakeholders to deliver industry-leading marketing campaigns, product launches and GTMs
Manage partner creative agencies, through exploration, contract, concept and execution/delivery, developing a bench of trusted partners who understand the strategy for the Whats App brand
Track, distill and guide performance of campaigns to provide data-backed insights to optimize campaigns and find new opportunity areas
Partner closely with Product Marketing and Product team to bring the Whats App Brand to life within the app
Build collaborative relationships and alliances with key internal and external teams and partners to prioritize and establish the team’s roadmap, delivering against clearly defined brand objectives while ensuring productive team environments
Model collaborative behaviors and build a broad organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
12+ years experience with brand marketing at companies with global scale
5+ years of people management experience
Experience building annual marketing plans, including creating the business case for incremental investment
Experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and campaigns/initiatives that drive results
Experience managing multiple campaigns/initiatives across markets simultaneously
Experience leading and driving flawless integrated execution across an expansive cross-functional and highly matrixed organization
Experience influencing leadership and gaining executive and VP buy-in/advocacy
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, technology or related field
International experience and knowledge of a variety of social and business landscapes
Experience leading consumer marketing for large-scale tech brands
Experience managing time-sensitive projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a broad range of stakeholders
Tech sector or CPG experience
Public Compensation: $182,000/year to $252,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
