Position
Purpose:
This position is responsible for performing electronics assembly and test functions within Capstone Green Energy’s production environment, including the assembly, disassembly, testing, and rework of electronic assemblies and related components. The technician will use basic hand tools, measuring devices, and detailed work instructions to ensure products meet defined quality, safety, and performance standards.
The role works closely with line leadership and cross-functional partners to identify defective materials, report quality concerns, and surface issues that may impact production flow or product integrity. The technician is expected to accurately follow schematics, visual aids, and written or verbal instructions, complete required data entry, and maintain a clean and organized work area while supporting production schedules and team objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Performs assembly or test functions within assigned electronics assembly production line discipline
- Able to assemble, disassemble and rework electronics and related components.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions per standard procedures.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations and perform same.
- Complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision.
Required
- Use and be familiar with basic hand tools and proper use of the tools
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude or formalized training.
- Ability to do data entry tasks utilizing PCs
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- High school diploma, or equivalent, highly desired.
- Minimum of three years mechanical hands-on experience.
- Electronics assembly experience highly desired.
- Post-high school education desired.
- Extensive periods on your feet, and lifting 50 lbs and computer use.
- Willingness to work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek.
