Job Summary
In this role, the sanitation team members are responsible for the cleanliness of the facility. They will practice proper cleaning techniques and safety protocol by using approved chemicals to wash and disinfect surfaces, sanitize all components of our food production and processing equipment. The sanitation team members are expected to actively participate in all aspects of the cleanup and washing of floors and ensure that all areas in the building are clean and organized.
You may be asked to restock PPE stations to ensure readiness of all operational areas and hand washing stations so that all employees can comply with the GMPs. Since we provide consumable products for sale and distribution to schools and others, we expect you to report any potential contamination issues to your manager.
- Use approved chemicals to wash and disinfect machines, equipment parts, food contact surfaces, utensils, etc.
- Learn and execute the operation of cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash and sanitize food processing equipment, bread trays and trash bins.
- Dispose of food waste, garbage and recycling daily throughout the building, abiding by the company “Green Waste” recycling program.
- Maintain a food safety environment, complying with Revolution Foods, State and Federal policies.
- Adhere to GMP by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard‑free environment (dry floors, proper knife storage, etc.).
- Sweep and mop floors and stairs.
- Refill chemical containers.
- Report potential issues to management.
- Keep all cleaning equipment clean and sanitized.
- Follow the master sanitation chart at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in a time‑sensitive environment.
- Ability to communicate and read labels in English.
- Knowledge of SSOPs in manufacturing facilities preferred.
- Able to work with others or independently.
- Knowledge of safe and proper sanitation procedures in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.
- Ability to stand frequently.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist and perform hand and arm motions.
- Ability to work in refrigerated environment.
- Ability to work overnight.
Work is within a factory setting, with chilled temperatures. Exposed to cold, wet, and damp conditions. All preventive protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
Base Hourly Compensation Range$17.11
