Job Description

This is a non‑exempt position responsible for producing high‑quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, the Operator I will perform a combination of assembly, repair, and testing of medical devices such as pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine manufacturing tasks following standardized procedures.
  • Assemble, repair, and test medical device components with high attention to quality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production and quality documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use required safety equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure full part traceability and quality compliance.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing practices and meet individual and cell performance metrics.
  • Comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle small components.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions with minimal supervision.
Dress Code & Safety Requirements
  • Clothing must be non‑shedding, clean, and fit under a lab coat/gown.
  • No loose fibers, fleece, glitter, sequins, tassels, or frayed clothing allowed.
  • Sleeves, necklines, and clothing must not extend beyond gown limits.
  • Closed‑toe shoes required; heels must be under 2 inches.
  • No sandals, open‑toe/heel shoes, or woven shoes.
  • No jewelry, body piercings, makeup, nail polish, artificial nails, or scented products (except deodorant).
  • Hair coverings must be worn properly; head wraps must be fully covered.
  • All wounds must be properly bandaged.
  • Loose‑fitting clothing is not permitted near machinery.
