Job Title:
Layout Inspector
Job Summary:
The Layout Inspector is responsible for performing precision inspections and verifications of machined and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance by utilizing advanced measuring tools and techniques.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in verifying part accuracy.
- Read and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Document inspection results and generate reports detailing findings, deviations, and necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures.
- 3-5 years of experience in precision inspection, layout inspection, or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting GD&T.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation is a plus.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary: $25-28/hr
Schedule:
M-F 7am-3:30pm w/ OT Saturday 7am-12noon
