The Cold Header Operator sets up, operates, and maintains cold heading machines used to form metal components such as fasteners and precision parts. This role ensures consistent production quality, machine performance, and adherence to safety standards.

• Set up and operate cold heading machines to produce parts according to specifications.
• Load wire or metal stock, adjust tooling, and perform machine changeovers.
• Monitor production runs, inspect finished parts, and ensure dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor mechanical adjustments to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Record production data, report defects, and communicate issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Assist in tooling maintenance and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Previous experience operating cold heading, cold forming, or similar metalworking machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications.
• Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to lift/move materials and stand for extended periods.
