Position: Executive Director of Fully Employed MBA, Executive MBA, and UCLA-NUS Executive MBA Admissions

Overview

The Fully Employed MBA (FEMBA), Executive MBA (EMBA), UCLA-NUS Global Executive MBA (UCLA-NUS) programs at the UCLA Anderson School of Management are nationally-recognized, self-supporting degree programs that serve approximately 1,200 students, all working professionals at different stages of their careers. The Executive Director of Admissions for the professional MBA programs has managerial responsibility for the admissions staff and the entire admissions lifecycle for all three programs, including marketing, recruiting, and operations.

In addition to managing day-to-day admissions operations, this role partners with program leadership to set and execute the strategic direction of the admissions department. The Executive Director regularly reports on admissions progress and outcomes, using data and industry insights to refine strategies in response to the school s evolving goals and the changing higher education landscape. The Executive Director is responsible for growing applicant pools and ensuring the annual enrollment of full cohorts of qualified students.

This will be accomplished through outreach, communication, application evaluation, data analysis, and collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The Executive Director leads and represents the school at admissions events, both on-campus and off-campus (primarily the West Coast). The Executive Director is the most senior external-facing admissions team member and is expected to be a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the admissions lifecycle.

This role helps evaluate applications and craft balanced and dynamic cohorts and is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of a strong yield strategy, which may be accomplished through counseling of admitted and waitlisted students and by holding yield events. Additional responsibilities include overseeing various admissions committees, conducting applicant interviews, and verifying academic and professional eligibility. The role leads an admissions team of about 10 staff at various professional levels.

Admissions budget oversight, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget. The role requires collaboration with other departments within the professional programs and with other teams such as Full-time MBA admissions, marketing, finance and the UCLA Graduate Division. The Executive Director is expected to represent the programs at professional industry conferences, showcasing UCLA Anderson s strengths and developing strong peer-school connections.

The Executive Director of GEMBA, EMBA, and FEMBA Admissions supervises the work of the Executive/Fully-Employed MBA Admissions Team and collaborates with the Alumni Engagement Officer EMBA/FEMBA and the Student Affairs and Career teams. The position reports to the Associate Dean of Executive and Fully Employed MBA Programs.
