The Role & Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Act as the overall manager of a client’s business, ensuring that we are delivering for the client’s business every day; ensure that all client initiatives run on time and on budget.
  • Be deeply informed on the client’s business, including all campaign performance, competitive landscape, product cycles & partner agency relationships (and all other stakeholders) and ensure the rest of the team maps well to the client set.
  • Deliver Radical Candor to strengthen and grow client relations and operational excellence. Communicate feedback clearly, directly, and with an action-oriented approach to navigating challenges and improving our work together.
  • Manage and attend relevant internal meetings (e.g., creative reviews, account management status meetings, IAT meetings).
  • Leverage brand knowledge to inspire the team and contribute ideas that can transform the business.
  • Lead and shape client presentations and confidently present as required.
Team Management
  • Act as a leader who is approachable and empathetic; be a role model to direct reports in terms of maturity, self-awareness, and professionalism.
  • Educate, inspire, motivate, and mentor account teams (along with strategy, media and creative) in providing best-in-class marketing communications and contribute to career growth of team members.
  • Supervise creative development for the account, guiding ongoing campaigns and new campaign exploratories based on business objectives and briefs.
  • Manage up to VP/SVP on all matters related to client and team.
  • Responsible for assignments centered around operational and internal initiatives from the Leadership team.
Business Strategy
  • Practitioner of the space; regularly read business reports and platform updates and provide a point of view to the client as relevant.
  • Develop brand-specific strategies aligned with today’s digital & mobile consumer and the client’s goals.
  • Strong working knowledge of creative and media across major digital and social channels; understand common marketing & media principles and the social platforms ecosystem.
  • Assess Paid Media and Measurement opportunities to provide client recommendations on KPIs based on brand goals.
  • Oversee larger campaign productions requiring senior oversight.
  • Participate in annual planning sessions and lead development of campaign proposals; contribute to strategic projects and agenda setting.
  • Evaluate creative against brand strategy & guidelines; understand Vayner

    X offerings and when to utilize teams.
Business Growth
  • Identify client needs and opportunities to propose incremental campaigns that improve ROI while delivering best-in-class work.
  • Proven ability to sell in new business and grow the portfolio by building broader relationships and selling creative ideas aligned with strategy.
  • Drive long-term project planning in collaboration with the SVP.
Communication + Collaboration
  • Solid presentation skills (verbal, written, visual) to deliver strategic social counsel and collaborate with creative and media teams for a strong story.
