About the RoleThis Branch Manager opportunity is a senior, hands-on leadership position overseeing end-to-end Customs Brokerage operations at the branch level. The role carries full responsibility for compliance performance, operational execution, and team leadership, and requires an active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB).
The successful individual will bring a strong balance of regulatory expertise and people leadership, ensuring consistent compliance while driving accountability, process discipline, and service quality across the brokerage team. Collaboration with sales and other internal functions is expected, but the role remains firmly centered on customs operations rather than forwarding.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee daily Customs Brokerage operations for the branch
- Maintain strict compliance with U.S. Customs and applicable PGA regulations
- Supervise classification, tariff interpretation, entry processing, and post-entry activity
- Lead, coach, and develop brokerage personnel, setting clear expectations and standards
- Serve as escalation point for complex customs issues and high-level client matters
- Guide clients on regulatory changes, tariffs, and compliance best practices
- Work alongside commercial teams to support retention and compliant growth
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Manage CF 28s, PSCs, protests, rulings, drawbacks, and internal compliance reviews
- Promote a culture rooted in ethics, professionalism, and regulatory accountability
- Active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) – mandatory
- Demonstrated experience leading Customs Brokerage teams and operations
- Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, tariff schedules, and compliance frameworks
- Hands-on exposure to post-entry processes and government correspondence
- Strong leadership presence with sound judgment and attention to detail
- Clear, confident communicator at both operational and executive levels
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with operational involvement
- Senior-level role with authority over brokerage operations and compliance outcomes
