Overview
Director, Working Capital – KPMG US
KPMG Advisory is seeking a Director, Working Capital to join our Performance Transformation group in Deal Advisory and Strategy. This role focuses on delivering working capital services and cash flow optimization for corporate clients, with opportunities to lead client relationships, guide project teams, and contribute to business development.
Responsibilities- Direct and deliver working capital services focused on order to cash, procure to pay, and inventory or supply chain processes to optimize cash flow as a key advisor to corporate clients
- Collaborate with the engagement Partner or Managing Director to lead client relationships and oversee teams through opportunity assessment and program implementations
- Lead business development efforts for working capital and cash flow improvement, including writing proposals, participating in pitch meetings, and negotiating scope and terms
- Guide the team to create value-add insights tied to the client’s strategic and financial goals, identifying optimization opportunities through structured data analyses and implementation
- Work across B2B and B2C industries (e.g., industrials, services, healthcare, life sciences, consumer goods, retail, energy, technology, telecom)
- Participate in developing the offering, collateral, and professional development of team members; assist with recruiting and training of new staff
- Minimum eight years of external consulting experience in a client-facing strategy discipline at a Big 4, major strategy firm, or boutique strategy firm, focusing on working capital, order to cash, procure to pay, or supply chain/inventory cash flow or operational improvement; experience with M&A operations for private equity or Fortune 100 settings preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- Experience analyzing global corporations or private equity operations, including process performance, organizational factors, policies, systems, tools, and metrics; strong project/program management and cost optimization skills
- Strong business acumen with analytical and problem-solving abilities; understanding of how business model decisions affect operating model design and execution
- Ability to handle ambiguity and fluctuating consulting situations
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
