Base pay range$69,170.00/yr - $72,000.00/yr
The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the daily activity of the Inbound & Outbound operations, distribution staff and equipment operators at Goodwill SoCal's Distribution Center. The Distribution Supervisor ensures the staff meets established goals for efficient operation, safety, proper care of equipment and customer service.
- Prepares and maintains accounting and timekeeping records.
- Cooperates in the preparation of the annual budget and performs within the budget as approved.
- Ensures work environment is organized, safety procedures are followed, equipment is used appropriately, and housekeeping is maintained.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; developing, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Develops and implements productivity metrics and holds staff accountable for achieving those metrics.
- Works with purchasing department to coordinate and oversee all inbound deliveries are received in a timely manner.
- Ensures that all inbound and outbound shipment are processed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- Plans and administers cycle counts identifying root causes of inventory deviations.
Education & Experience
- 5 years of supervisory experience in Distribution and or Transportation.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Effective communication skills, including ability to interface with diverse groups
- Creative problem solver, including ability to prioritize & effectively resolve multiple problems/demands on time.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Team player and possess good people skills to motivate team work.
- Demonstrated abilities to plan and accomplish goals.
- High degree of ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
