About the Role

As a CBRE Meeting & Events Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a small team assigned to meetings, events& conference services.

This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. Theyare responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.

  • Set and track staff and department deadlines.

    Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Serve as primary contact with clients for meeting & events forecasts and strategies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries andescalated complaints.

  • Maintain department budget. Approve purchase orders for event supplies as requested by the team.

  • Implement enhancements for event success. This includes making improvements to processes, procedures, and systems. Reviewreports to measure productivity and present findings to management.

  • Ensure operations and vendors are compliant withlocation requirements.

  • Accountable for tracking department SLAs, KPIs,and benchmarks. Monitor related performance data and identify solutions forgaps.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests toreach an agreement.

  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-dayand moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection,training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations andhandle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact onquality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

    Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculatedifficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial tasks

CA Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum annual salary for the Meetings & Events Manager position is $95,000 and the max salary is $110,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
