HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this role is accountable for overseeing all sales and marketing programs in the Americas, ensuring cost-effective activities meet agreed objectives. The Director acts as a bridge between the Head Office and local staff, helping to understand the Americas market and global perspectives.

The Director is a figurehead, seen by external parties as the primary HKTB spokesperson and decision-maker in the Americas, leading a multinational staff team to achieve desired results.

Major responsibilities include:

• Devising the overall strategy for the Americas, leading marketing, PR, and trade initiatives to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
• Identifying, establishing, and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
• Acting as the spokesperson in the Americas to establish long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keeping abreast of market development and providing feedback to senior management.
• Building a high-performance team and managing business activities in the US and Canada offices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• University degree holder in Travel/Tourism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of proven tourism industry experience, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Sound understanding of the Americas market segments and broad-based knowledge of marketing mix.
• Hong Kong destination knowledge is an advantage.
• A strong presenter and spokesperson for Hong Kong in the Americas.
• Analytical, strategic, and results-oriented with good people management ability.
