Position Description
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction of multiple healthcare projects under a defined capital program or master plan.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client, project managers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans across multiple projects.
  • Ensure compliance with California Building Code, Title 24, and HCAI/OSHPD requirements for all applicable projects.
  • Provide executive‑level reporting, dashboards, and project performance updates to client leadership.
  • Support the development of strategic capital plans, feasibility studies, and project prioritization frameworks.
  • Lead project teams in identifying and mitigating risk across program portfolios.
  • Manage consultant and contractor selection, RFP/RFQ processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Implement standardized procedures, project controls, and reporting structures to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Promote strong communication and collaboration among project teams, hospital departments, and regulatory agencies.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the program.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in capital project delivery, with at least 5 years managing healthcare projects or programs in California.
  • Proven experience leading multiple concurrent projects exceeding $20M+ in total program value preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of HCAI/OSHPD processes, healthcare construction standards, and California Building Code (Title 24).
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage consultants, and interface with executive‑level healthcare leadership.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and program‑level reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.).
  • Communication:
    Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate complex information clearly to executives and technical teams alike.

  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
