CFO, Financial Manager
We are seeking a CFO to join our California team and lead all the financial functions of the business in its current state and through its next phase of growth. This individual will play a key role in guiding the company’s transition from early commercialization to becoming a globally established organization. Responsibilities will include establishing international subsidiaries and developing the financial and administrative processes and procedures required to support local manufacturing and global service operations.
- Develop, implement and ensure execution of overall financial strategies that align with the short- and long-term goals and objectives of the company.
- Manage relationships with board members, vendors and strategic partners.
- Manage Investor Relations. Build relationships and effective lines of communication. Responsible for timely and accurate investor reporting.
- Responsible for capital raises and debt arrangements for the fast-growing company.
- Establish international entities to operate locally. Ensure compliance to local and U.S. regulations, including insurance and export requirements.
- Create international tax and cash repatriation policies.
- Responsible for financial management of leasing capital equipment to international clients.
- Develop procedures to maximize financial and operational goals.
- Responsible for the cash impact of capital expenditures.
- Creation of business development plans with the CEO.
- Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of operational and capital budgets.
- Responsible for the overall financial planning, forecasting and analysis.
- Responsible for the management and board reporting.
- Responsible the risk management, including all international insurance matters.
- Establish and manage ERP systems for manufacturing and services, intra-inter transactions and inventory.
- Establish and manage international IT structure and data security.
- Manage incentive stock option policy and awards.
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. CPA, MS/MBA or other Postgraduate is a must.
- At least 15 years of professional experience in a commercial environment while maintaining certifications.
- Good understanding of U.S. GAAP and of IFRS.
- Good understanding of Export control, Export Licensing and U.S. Compliance.
- International experience
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Management of professional third-party service providers.
- Good understanding of SaaS model of operation.
- Involvement in IPO and M&A process.
The candidate will work full time onsite in an office environment, must be willing and able to travel internationally and be prepared to work with others who are in different time zones than the U.S. On average, travel is anticipated to be three international/domestic trips per quarter.
