Maintenance Technician/Custodian

- Hourly Rate: $20
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control functioning properly.
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using sealant on a flat roof.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Painting the building when old paint has faded or chipped.
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage (e.g., window, door, or wall repair).
- Performing outside maintenance and landscaping.
- General cleaning and sanitation (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting floors and surfaces).
- Restroom sanitation (cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies).
- Waste disposal (emptying trash, replacing liners, ensuring proper disposal).
- Specialized cleaning tasks (deep cleaning high‑use areas, polishing floors, disinfecting high‑touch surfaces).
- Inventory and supply management (monitoring cleaning supply levels and notifying supervisors when restocking is needed).
Skills & Qualifications
- Self‑motivated.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and cleanliness skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in janitorial work preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits provided through Thatch’s ICHRA, starting on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
- Paid time off accrued weekly from the first week of work but cannot be used until after completing 90 days of employment.
- $40 personal phone reimbursement eligibility depending on position, issued monthly.
- Adhere to Tower’s policies and procedures as indicated in the Employee Handbook.
- Work in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform duties as workload necessitates.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Communicate regularly with team members or higher management about work‑related topics.
- Demonstrate efficient time management skills and regular attendance.
- Meet applicable productivity standards.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by Tower Mobility.
- Employees must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Schedules are malleable and may be subject to change; check in with management regarding any changes.
