Under the supervision of a Custodial supervisor, responsibilities include:

• Cleaning assigned areas such as patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, offices, hallways, corridors, and public areas.
• Operating cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall and window washing tools, shampoo machines, and floor machines.
• Sweeping, stripping, and waxing floors.
• Performing isolation room cleaning, high and low dusting, and cleaning surfaces with approved solutions.
• Knowledge in the correct use and storage of disinfectants, cleaning solutions, soaps, detergents, and floor waxes is preferred.

Salary Rate: $25.80/hourly

• Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy while directing co-workers.
• Effective interaction with patients, customers, and colleagues demonstrating superior customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to operate various housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, and pressure/steam cleaning machines.
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
• Initiative and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work within defined time constraints.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements include:

• Bending waist while standing.
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Stooping and squatting.
• Twisting and bending of the neck forward and backward.
• Working in a standing position for long periods.
