Custodian

Brentwood School, a vibrant and diverse K-12 independent school, is looking for a full time Custodian. We are looking for an individual with custodian experience, preferably in a school environment. This is a “hands-on” position. Our ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning, good people skills, and a history of providing the highest level of customer service. English-speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• General cleaning for assigned classrooms, offices and common areas
• Replenish toilet tissue, hand tissue, soap, etc.
• Remove trash around campus and assigned areas
• Assist with cleaning services for school events
• Carrying out of daily work orders and other work as assigned
• Drive as needed on behalf of employer subject to a satisfactory background check result on employee's driving record

In addition, a candidate should possess the following personal and professional qualities:

• Able to work Monday through Friday or other shifts and Saturdays as needed
• Experience working with buffers, power washers and other cleaning equipment is a plus
• Excellent collaboration and organizational skills
• A sense of humor and energy
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the building trades or maintenance department
• A clear driving record
• An ability to understand and follow school policies
• A focus on teaching, promoting, and maintaining a safe workplace
• An interest in and openness to professional growth and development
• A commitment to fairness and to fostering community
• Engage in professional and personal development with a consistent commitment to growth
• Participate and initiate opportunities that demonstrate one's growth, knowledge, and skills

While being vaccinated for COVID-19 is not required, it is strongly recommended

COMPENSATION:
Brentwood School's employment requirements vary, from positions requiring no experience to those needing 3 0+ years of expert experience. Our salary range includes all levels of experience, from $17.50 - $20 per hour. Salaries are determined based on years of experience, education, full- or part-time status, the category of the role, and the number of months of worked per school year.

Salary ranges do not include benefits, i.e. 403b retirement matching, paid lunch time, free breakfast and lunch, free parking, subsidy toward medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D plans, and generous time off. The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed. If hired, your actual base salary will be determined by your education, experience, and category.
