About Us: Ecco Living is a dynamic property management company specializing in coliving. We rent furnished rooms to students and young professionals, offering a community-centric living experience. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Porter to join our team and ensure our properties are well-maintained and welcoming.

Job Summary: As a Porter at Ecco Living, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our buildings. Your role will include cleaning common areas, watering plants, performing building inspections, and assisting with turnovers between tenants. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a pristine environment will contribute to the satisfaction and comfort of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Clean and sanitize common areas, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Ensure the exterior of the building is clean and presentable.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

Plant Care:

  • Water and care for indoor and outdoor plants to ensure they remain healthy and vibrant.
  • Monitor the condition of plants and report any issues.

Building Oversight:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Report any necessary repairs or maintenance tasks to the property management team.
  • Assist in ensuring the building complies with safety regulations.

Turnovers:

  • Assist with the turnover process between tenants, including cleaning and preparing rooms for new residents.
  • Ensure that all rooms and common areas are in excellent condition for incoming tenants.

Inspections:

  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues discovered during inspections.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and punctual.
  • Basic knowledge of plant care is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying supplies.
  • Ability to work well with technology/maintenance apps.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)
