Position SummaryA regional Field Service Technician will perform all local Orange EV Vehicle service activities: diagnose, repair, provide root‑cause analysis, evaluate Remote Monitoring System data, record service work, develop reports, collaborate with customers and third‑party providers, support sales and marketing, execute field upgrades or retrofits, and facilitate tool & parts warehousing.
Required ShiftMonday – Friday; 3:30 pm – Midnight (2nd Shift).
Position Responsibilities- Understand the vehicle systemically and component‑level to diagnose and repair efficiently.
- Represent Orange EV professionally.
- Use the Remote Monitoring System and Service Record‑Keeping System to determine service plans and prioritize customer needs.
- Accurately record all service activity in the service record‑keeping system.
- Communicate with customers and third‑party service providers for diagnosis or issue escalation and promote efficient repair scenarios.
- Collaborate with the site manager and electrician regarding charging infrastructure logistics.
- Evaluate conversion‑vehicle candidates and prepare thorough reports.
- Support Customer Technicians and Third‑Party Service Providers with ancillary repairs.
- Provide a secure remote location for tools, parts, and other items.
- Deliver operator and maintenance training, as well as sales and business‑development support.
- Travel as needed for initial training and to meet service‑team and customer goals.
- High School Diploma; technical degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in automotive or electrical industries.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of customer‑service principles and processes.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75‑100 lbs occasionally; ability to squat, sit, lie under, or climb on the vehicle routinely.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to prioritize goals and meet schedules.
- Ability to execute and follow instructions from a supervisor.
- Clear written communication skills.
