Key Responsibilities

As a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney, you will play a central role in managing transactions from early diligence through closing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in commercial real estate transactions
  • Advise lenders and borrowers in real estate financing transactions, including structured financings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and closing deliverables
  • Support real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence review and risk assessment
  • Handle leasing matters, including commercial lease negotiations and amendments
  • Assist with real estate development and asset management work streams
  • Support debt and equity financings, including joint ventures and capital stack structures
  • Coordinate with internal teams and opposing counsel to drive transactions efficiently
  • Maintain strong client communication and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–8 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions and/or real estate finance matters
  • Strong drafting and negotiation ability in purchase, lease, and finance documents
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines in a fast-paced transactional practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience representing lenders/borrowers in financing transactions
  • Familiarity with affordable housing transactions or finance structures (helpful, not required)
  • Prior experience in a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice group
