Litigation Associate; Plaintiff-Side

Overview

Manage plaintiff-side litigation matters (primarily Personal Injury and Tenant Rights) from inception through resolution.

• Oversee day-to-day case management and direct junior staff and paralegals
• Prepare and execute discovery strategies including propounding and responding to discovery, drafting meet-and-confer correspondence, motions to compel and related filings
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions, including oppositions to summary judgment
• Conduct party, witness, and expert depositions
• Perform legal research, factual investigations, and case strategy development
• Appear in court, argue motions, and attend hearings
• Meet directly with clients and prepare them for depositions and trial
• Participate in trial preparation; 1st or 2nd chair trial experience is a plus (not required)

• 27+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side strongly preferred)
• Experience in Personal Injury and/or Tenant Rights litigation
• Active California State Bar admission
• Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom skills
• Comfortable managing cases independently while collaborating within a team
• Experience working in a contingency-fee environment is a plus
• Familiarity with Clio or similar legal case management platforms is a plus

Salary Type: Annual Salary

Salary Min: $160,000

Salary Max: $220,000
