The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Assistant with 5+ years of experience to provide comprehensive support to a team of attorneys. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of litigation procedures and court rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Litigation Support: Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and agreements. Manage document production (Bates Stamping) and create Table of Contents/Authorities.
  • Court Coordination: Handle electronic filings in Federal, State, and Appellate courts. Communicate directly with court staff and stay updated on judge-specific rules.
  • Calendar & Case Management: Proactively manage attorney calendars, coordinate depositions (local and out-of-town), schedule mediations, and track all trial deadlines.
  • Administrative Excellence: Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence, manage digital files in the Document Management System, and serve as a professional point of contact for clients and outside counsel.
  • E-filing: Experience with state (CA) and federal E-filing
What You'll Need
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a litigation environment.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and filing procedures.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational habits, the ability to prioritize under pressure, and a team-player mentality.
