R23 Law APC, a cutting-edge plaintiff-side consumer protection and financial litigation boutique, is looking for a California-barred attorney — especially those with background in plaintiff volume practice (i.e. consumer finance, employment, PI).
Federal court consumer finance (FCRA) and previous sales (close settlements) experience is highly welcomed. We are a results-driven and dynamic team that tackles high-impact finance disputes, class actions, and consumer rights matters. You'll work closely with and receive mentorship from experienced attorneys, many of whom have backgrounds at top-tier biglaw firms.
What You’ll Do- Manage your own docket of cases with a results-driven approach
- Take ownership of written discovery and dispositive motions (drafting, responding, reviewing) under direction from our Director of Litigation
- Draft complaints and manage filings along with our paralegal/admin team
- Manage calendaring and deadlines
- Attend as many court appearances and depositions as you'd like
- Participate in client meetings, litigation strategy sessions, and court prep
- Achieve results through settlement negotiations and mediations
- Engage with meaningful consumer justice work in finance, credit reporting, fraud, and multi-plaintiff complex litigations (class actions & mass arbitrations)
- Barred in California
- Experience or interest in plaintiff-side litigation — background in employment, PI & insurance defense welcome
- 2–6 years of litigation experience, ideally federal court experience
- Consumer finance background especially welcomed (FCRA, Rosenthal, CITA)
- Attention to detail, docket management, and ability to manage deadlines
- Discovery-savvy: you know your RFPs from your RFAs and how to make objections stick
- Experience with motion practice and legal research
- Comfortable working remotely or in a hybrid setup
($150-400k TC
)
