A highly regarded, full-service California litigation firm is seeking a 3–5 year Employment Law Attorney to join its expanding labor and employment disputes practice in Los Angeles. This team handles sophisticated wage-and-hour class actions, PAGA representative matters, and high-stakes single-plaintiff claims that directly impact employees and workplace policy statewide. The firm offers early courtroom exposure and a hands-on, partner-track opportunity within a respected litigation group.

This opportunity is actively interviewing and rarely opens at this level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions
  • Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation from intake through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive filings
  • Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, managers, and corporate representatives
  • Prepare mediation and arbitration briefs and settlement strategies
  • Participate directly in arbitrations, mediations, and trial proceedings
  • Address matters involving FEHA, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistle blower claims
  • Work with damages experts and investigators to build strong liability cases
  • Engage in client counseling and litigation strategy with senior attorneys
  • Contribute to case leadership and junior team mentorship as you advance
Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of focused Employment Law Attorney or labor & employment litigation experience
  • Strong background in wage & hour or class action litigation
  • Experience with arbitration, mediation, or trial proceedings
  • Excellent legal writing and motion practice skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple cases
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with PAGA claims
  • Deposition and courtroom experience
  • Background representing plaintiffs in employment disputes
  • Interest in leadership and long-term career growth within a litigation practice
