Overview
Stinson LLP seeks an Associate Attorney with two to five years of financial services litigation experience to join our Los Angeles, California office. Duties include file management, motion practice, courtroom opportunities, depositions, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation. We offer a supportive and congenial team environment balanced with autonomy and hands‑on experience guided by partners with decades of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, eager to take ownership of a caseload, team‑oriented, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
Active California license is required.
- File management and motion practice.
- Courtroom opportunities and trial preparation.
- Depositions and alternative dispute resolution.
- Preparation and advocacy in state and federal courts.
- Client communication and case strategy development.
- Two to five years of financial services litigation experience.
- Exceptional writing, oral advocacy, and academic record.
- Experience drafting pleadings (demurrers, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in e‑discovery and fact development.
- Experience propounding and responding to discovery.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Familiarity with RD FCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, UCL/UDAP and related statutes.
- Strategic and analytical skills in addressing client challenges, both legally and economically.
- Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
Base salary $195,000–$215,000 with a discretionary merit bonus. A signing bonus may be available. Compensation is based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
