Attorney - Trusts and Estate Planning

Location: Encino, California

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trusts and Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing team in Encino, California. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in all aspects of trusts and estate planning, including drafting complex estate planning documents, advising clients on tax planning strategies, and handling trust administration and probate matters. The candidate should be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.

• Draft complex estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Advise clients on various estate planning strategies, including tax planning, asset protection, and charitable giving.
• Handle all aspects of trust administration, including asset allocation, tax filings, and distributions to beneficiaries.
• Represent clients in probate proceedings, including preparing and filing court documents, managing estate assets, and resolving disputes.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex estate planning issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
• Manage client relationships and provide exceptional client service.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 8-10 years of experience in trusts and estate planning.
• Extensive knowledge of California probate law and estate tax laws.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
• Experience with estate planning software (e.g., Wealth Docs, Hot Docs) preferred.
• LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning a plus.
