About the Opportunity

Our well-established client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Tax Attorney/Partner for their Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is ready to step into a leadership role, manage associates, and help expand a growing practice.

A book of business is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates must have either an LL.M. in Taxation or significant, demonstrable tax experience.

• Estate Planning: Interview clients to understand their goals, develop advanced transfer tax minimization strategies, draft estate planning documents such as trusts and wills, and supervise associates throughout the drafting and execution process.
• Income Taxation: Advise individuals and businesses on a wide range of Federal and California income tax matters, including complex planning, compliance, and tax advisory work.
• Tax Research & Strategy: Conduct sophisticated tax research and analysis covering issues across Subtitles A, B, and F of the Internal Revenue Code, as well as California tax and related substantive laws.
• Leadership & Team Management: Manage, mentor, and train associates, oversee workflow to ensure high-quality deliverables, and actively contribute to firm growth and client development initiatives.

• 8+ years of relevant tax law experience
• LL.M. in Taxation or strong tax-focused background
• Ability to manage junior attorneys effectively
• Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills
• A book of business is a significant plus
• Open to hybrid work arrangements

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between [$250,000 – $400,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
