Overview
Venable LLP's Commercial Litigation Group seeks a mid-level associate with at least four years of experience to join the practice in the Los Angeles office.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills, and outstanding academic credentials. Qualified candidates will have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, work well in a team, and are prepared to take on significant responsibility in Venable's cases. Candidates will support commercial litigation activities, including complex commercial litigation. Preferred candidates will have experience working with policyholders in insurance coverage matters and assisting them in recovering benefits and proceeds from insurance carriers.
Participation in marketing and business development activities, including client pitches and presentations are expected.
Prior law firm experience is preferred. Candidates must have a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the California bar. Please include law school transcripts with submissions.

CompensationThe salary range for associate positions is $215,000 to $355,000 per year, depending upon associate level. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
