Overview
The Real Estate practice group is seeking to hire a mid-level associate to join our Century City office. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience (large law firm experience preferred, but boutique firm real estate experience considered). We prefer candidates who have strong experience with development, financing and other matters related to utility scale renewable energy (wind/solar), energy storage and energy transmission projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (including the ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties). Also, the ability to manage small to mid-sized matters, and portions of large matters, effectively and efficiently, and work well on a team, is important. Must be a California licensed attorney with solid transactional real estate experience.
- Serve as a mid-level associate in the Real Estate practice focused on development, financing, and matters related to energy projects (wind/solar, energy storage, energy transmission).
- Manage small to mid-sized matters and portions of larger matters, contributing to project coordination and client communications.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties; demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 2-5 years of experience in real estate; large law firm experience preferred, boutique real estate experience also considered.
- Strong experience with development, financing, and utility-scale renewable energy matters.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work well on a team and handle multiple matters efficiently.
- California licensed attorney with solid transactional real estate experience.
$235k - $365k. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith’s pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on location and experience.
