Trueline’s client, a national defense litigation firm with deep experience, is seeking an Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation to join their team in West Los Angeles. This role offers the chance to handle a wide array of high exposure matters—like product liability and premises liability—in a hybrid work setting, with meaningful mentorship and hands-on responsibility.
What You’ll Do as the Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation- Assist in defending complex cases—such as product liability, wrongful death, warranty, premises liability, and similar high exposure actions
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
- Manage and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and assist with trial preparation
- Collaborate closely with supervising partners in case management, court appearances, and trial involvement
- Own projects proactively and contribute to client delivery in a team oriented environment
- At least 3 years of civil defense litigation experience (including drafting, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation)
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities
- Excellent multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Confident interpersonal and presentation skills
- Consistent record of high quality, proactive work
- Prior exposure to or interest in high stakes litigation in product liability, premises liability, or wrongful death
- Trial participation experience or eagerness to take on trial responsibilities
- Business development or client origination interest or experience
- Competitive salary at $150,000-$200,000 depending on experience
