Briscoe Ivester & Bazel LLP, a boutique San Francisco law firm focused on property law (litigation and transactional), seeks an associate attorney. The firm is interested in motivated candidates who are flexible and reside in the Los Angeles area as the firm is expanding with an existing client base there.

Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to develop a specialization in property law and will be mentored to build your own book of clients. No AI will be able to replace what you will learn to do.

Associate Attorney Responsibilities
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, title specific documents, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. This is a hybrid transactional and litigation role.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
  • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
  • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
Associate Attorney Qualifications
  • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
  • Successful completion of the bar exam
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
  • Interested in client relations and have a desire to make partner in the next 3-5 years.
  • Must be a self-starter.

Compensation: $135k to $175k depending on experience with bonus options.

1800 hours
